How do I shop on this site?
For your shopping convenience, we use what's called a "shopping cart" to help you order online. This shopping cart works just the same as a real shopping cart - it collects items you want to purchase until checkout time!
Simply browse the store and when you want to purchase an item, just click "order" and that item is added to your cart. After ordering each item, you'll be given a "view order" screen that displays your items as well as a subtotal. When you are finished shopping, click "checkout" (a link on "view order" screen) and follow the easy steps from there.
Navigation: We have tried to make our site as simple and easy-to-use as possible. The main destinations you will probably use are shown on the very top bar. Text links are underlined and colored blue. You'll also notice that all site categories are shown in the far left column of each page. This allows you to go anywhere, from anywhere.
Getting Started: If you would like to browse the site, the best place to start is the Home page. There you will find our featured items and specials, and links to everywhere on this site.
Searching: If you have an idea of what you'd like, try a search using the box in the top left corner of your browser. If you know the item name or item number, enter it in the search field.
Express Ordering:If you already know the item numbers for what you want (for example, if you have a catalog in hand), try the Express Order feature on the bottom of the left-hand column. Enter the item number (one only) without the size option and click "GO". If necessary, you will be prompted to choose options for the item.
How do I change quantites?
When you click "order", one of the selected items is added to your shopping cart. If you want more than one, simply adjust the quantity on the "view order" screen (that loads directly after clicking the "order" button), and click the "update" button. If you ever want to remove an item from your cart, just click the "remove" button.
What credit cards do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Can you bill me and send my gift to a different address (gift)?
Only if you are paying by credit card. On the checkout form there is space for you to enter a shipping address that can be different from the billing address (your own).
Is there gift wrap available?
Not currently on the site. We hope to have this feature available in the near future.
Can I ship a single order to multiple addresses?
Unfortunately, at this time our site does not support multiple ship-to addresses. Please enter a separate order for each ship-to address.
How do you handle orders outside the USA?
Monastery Icons does ship orders internationally.
These orders are shipped via our International Carrier and due to possible delays with customs, can take anywhere from 18 to 22 business days for delivery.
Customs fees, duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer. These must be paid prior to delivery and may appear as a COD fee upon delivery. These fees are not reimbursable by Monastery Icons. If duties and taxes were applied on an order that is being returned, it is up to the customer to contact customs to have that fee refunded. The amount we refund upon receipt of the returned product will not include these fees, or the original shipping charges.
The shipping charges for International Orders are triple that of our standard domestic charges. See Chart Below.
